The finalists in the 2016 Offshore Achievement Awards have been announced and Step Change Engineering has been shortlisted in the final 3 for the Innovator Award. Organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen section, the Offshore Achievement Awards celebrate the significant contributions made by a wide range of businesses to the UK offshoreenergy sector.
Step Change Engineering is one of three finalists in the Innovator category, which recognises excellence in innovative technology solutions. The Aberdeen-based engineering and design businesswas shortlisted in recognition for its use of technology to remove the need for offshore surveys and deliver significant cost and schedule savings through its innovative way of generating Fabrication drawings and workpacks
Since it was established in 2014, the firm has challenged the way in which oil and gas engineering projects are delivered. By utilising the latest 3D data capture technology and advanced engineering software, cost savings of at least 70% on small modification projects have been achieved for clients.
