THREE60 Energy strengthens Senior Management Team

Three60 Energy, a newly formed oil field service company backed by Simmons Private Equity, today announced the appointment of a new board member to strengthen the senior management team and drive the future growth of the group.

Walter has recently been appointed as CEO, North Sea and is responsible for supporting the strategic growth of recently acquired Step Change Engineering, adding further acquisitions and leading the development of our overall life cycle support services capability in the North Sea. Walter has 28 years oil and gas industry experience and joins us from Petrofac, where he held key roles in the UK and UAE, most recently as Managing Director, West for Engineering & Production Services.

About Walter Thain

At Petrofac, Walter was accountable for growth and regional delivery across engineering, operations, decommissioning and training services within Europe, North Africa and the Americas, together with the global delivery of specialist service capabilities including well engineering and asset management. Prior to this, he held senior engineering and leadership positions with McDermott Engineering, delivering both brownfield and greenfield engineering projects. Walter also served as a director on the O&G UK board, as well as Chairman of the O&G UK efficiency task force.
